April & WardDear Birthmother, We want to let you know how grateful we are to you for taking the time to look at our profile. We know that this has to be a very difficult and emotional time for you. We highly respect every birthmother who chooses to give her baby to a loving family instead of aborting the child or trying to raise the child herself, when she is unable to do so. The decision to give your baby a better life requires a selfless and loving heart. We, as adoptive parents, will always let our child know how much you love him/her and that it was the ultimate sacrifice any parent could ever make. Although we don't know you, we are praying for you and your unborn baby. We ask God to protect and provide for you both as you carry this baby, and to give you peace and wisdom as you make your decisions. We hope and pray that you will consider us to provide a loving h ome for your baby.We have been together the better part of 12 years. We were good friends during junior high, and began dating during high school. Though our relationship has had its ups and downs over the years, we always pull through together. Not only are we husband and wife, we are best friends. Our bond to each other is stronger than ever, and we can't wait to add a new addition to our family. Our three bedroom brick home is located in the country on approximately 5 acres of land with a yard for running and playing in. We also have a large shop that Ward loves to work in...his latest project was a loft bed for Tyler! We also enjoy having friends and family over for barbecues in the shop. There are several families in our neighborhood with small children for our kids to play with. We live about 5-10 miles from the schools, grocery store, gas stations, and our church; and the closest mall, restaurants and movie theatre is about 35 miles away. Ward is a funny, out-going, dependable man who loves children. Every Sunday at church, the little children seem to flock to him. Not only is Ward a terrific dad, he is also a wonderful husband. He is always there for his friends and family. Ward is an electrician and works in maintenance at a nearby factory. He also wires homes and businesses on the side with his best friend. In his spare time, Ward enjoys working in his shop, mowing the yard, turkey hunting and fishing. Ward also enjoys spending time with his wife and son, watching movies and barbequing.April is a very caring, loving and out-going person who has a special place in her heart for children. She loves to laugh and to make others laugh. Like her son, Tyler, she has a big heart. She has known since she was a young girl that she would adopt, regardless of whether she could have biological children or not. April is a private duty pediatric nurse for a sweet little girl. She has been with her current patient for almost two years. They have a close bond and enjoy the two days a week they spend together. Soon, her patient will no longer require nursing care, so April plans on being a full-time stay at home mom. In her spare time, April enjoys reading, fishing, and playing games with Ward and Tyler. She also enjoys attending church, having lunch with friends and short weekend trips with her family. Tyler is your typical six year old little boy. He loves to be out-side riding his bike, his little 4-wheeler and the tractor with his dad. He also enjoys fishing and catching frogs. Indoors, he likes to play with his Ninja Turtles, Power Rangers, and his Yu Gi Oh cards. He also enjoys watching movies, swiming and staying in hotels.Tyler was also a wonderful big brother to Reese; he never let all of Reese's problems scare him. He was always willing to help with anything besides diapers! He and Reese shared an incredible bond that Tyler will always carry in his heart. Although Reese's death was hard on Tyler, he accepted it with a maturity beyond his years and he says he is ready to be a big brother again. He is very excited about adopting a baby brother or sister. Reese was a very special little baby boy, who touched the hearts of many. He was born with a genetic condition called Trisomy 13. Knowing that his life was going to be short, we filled each day to the fullest with love and tender care. He loved being out in the sun, so we would take him to Tyler's T-ball games and to sit by the pond. He also loved being held and spending time with his big brother. Although we only had 6 short weeks with him, our memories will live on in our hearts. We thank God for each day he allowed us with Reese. We know that no child could ever replace Reese, and we have accepted what fate had in store for us. Though our hearts will always ache, we are ready to move on to the next stage of our lives and we are both 100% sure that adoption is in God's plans for us. Rocky is a full blooded chocolate lab who loves to play catch. He is a great companion and never leaves Tyler's side when he is outside. Dory is a Yorkie-Poodle mix, who loves to try to keep up with Rocky! She is a very friendly, energetic dog. She likes to snuggle up next to Tyler every night to sleep. Love, Ward and April If you would like additional information about Ward and April or would like to speak to them, please call Adoptions of Kentucky and speak to Ruth or Diana at 1-800-542-5245.
