Juli & Scot

Dear Birthmother,

Even though we have never met, we already have the highest respect for you. We understand that this must be a difficult time. Your decision to consider an adoption plan shows that you have great courage and strength of character.

You obviously care a great deal about your baby and want him or her to live the best life possible. We believe that we can provide your child with a loving family and a life filled with opportunity.

We have put this profile together so that you might get to know us better. Please let us introduce ourselves?

We are Juli, Scot, Ava and Kora. Our family means more to us than anything else.

Juli and Scot have been happily married since 1992. We were introduced by mutual friends and have hardly been apart since. Having undergone several unsuccessful fertility procedures, we decided that adoption was the right path for us.

Our hopes and dreams were realized with the adoption at birth of twin girls, Ava and Kora, in February 2001.

Juli enjoys sports (especially tennis and swimming), music, reading, and art. She also enjoys writing in her spare time. Juli is working on a children's book which she hopes to publish one day. She is honored to be a stay-at-home mother to Kora and Ava. Juli enjoys volunteering at their preschool by helping with class and school-wide activities. She has served on the Children's Committee and as a nursery volunteer at church.

Scot is an avid reader who enjoys tennis, yoga, and board games. He has served as a reader and nursery volunteer at church. Scot is now a full partner in his law firm. He has always taken an active role in parenting. Scot fixes breakfast for the girls and eats with them before leaving for work.

Kora and Ava are very happy, bright and social children. Though they are twins, there is no mistaking them. They are the best of buddies, but each has her own unique personality and interests?

Ava enjoys working puzzles, flying kites, coloring and sticker books, and anything related to butterflies!

Kora likes playing with and dressing up her stuffed animals, fishing (pretend) in the backyard, being Mom's "little chef" in the kitchen, and drawing and painting.

We own a spacious four-bedroom home in a friendly neighborhood with many young children. Our large backyard has a sturdy playset and plenty of additional room to run and play.

Our goal is to raise happy, caring, and respectful children who have a zest for life. We want every child in our family to find his or her own individual interests, dreams and passions.

We get together with our extended family often, whether for a special event or just a casual dinner. We have 14 aunts, uncles and cousins within three miles of our home. Many more live in town. All of the children have a terrific time! Two couples who we see often also have children who are adopted.

We have an empty swing waiting in our backyard ready to be filled by a wonderful new addition to our family. Our home and hearts are open.

The gift of life is the absolute greatest gift of all. You are providing that gift to a child. Thank you for taking the time to learn more about us. If you like what you see in our family, we would be honored if you chose us to become the adoptive family for your child.

Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you always.

Sincerely,

Juli, Scot, Kora and Ava
